Chicago Women's Alliance Event: Celebrate Earth Day 2018

Join the CWA in celebrating Earth Day.

Join fellow UChicago alumnae in volunteering with Golden Gate Audubon to clean up native habitats at MLK Jr. Shoreline Park in Oakland! It's a great opportunity to celebrate Earth Day and have fun outdoors with family and new friends at the same time. We will be working on habitat restoration and trash removal.

What to Wear:
Wear comfortable work clothes, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots that you do not mind getting a bit dirty (no shorts or sandals). Dress in layers for changing weather, bring hat, and wear sunscreen.

What to Bring:
Bring a reusable water bottle to minimize trash. We’ll have water for refills.
All necessary tools, snacks, gloves and instruction will be provided. If you have a pair of favorite gardening gloves, feel free to bring those.

This is a family-friendly event! Children over the age of 8 are welcome with a parent or guardian.

Waivers will be provided for all volunteers to sign - children under 18 require a parent signature to participate.
