5 Leadership Lessons for Women in Business
Tuesday, Oct. 16, 12 pm (Central)
What are the unique challenges that women in business face? What are the most common traps or pitfalls that limit women from reaching their leadership potential? And what skills can you begin practicing today in order to overcome them?
One in ten employed millennial women work in management, business or financial operations—and do so at a rate that exceeds their male counterparts. Nevertheless, these women are launching their careers in a business landscape that is still predominantly male, especially when it comes to positions of leadership. This means that women have a different set of challenges to face. They also have a unique set of resources to use in building the "personal brands" that will set the tone for their career growth.
This webinar is designed to help you identify the 5 most common mistakes that women make in business, and to arm you with the insights and strategies to overcome them by fostering your own personal brand identity.
At the end of the webinar, Esther Pandian-Riske will share about how, just like Katerina Steele, women interested in business training can start by taking one class at a time, through Graduate Student At-Large: Business program, at the University of Chicago.
